Hi guys!
Today’s a fun release… Years ago I bought the Galaxy Express 999 Movie blu-ray and totally forgot about this gem. It might be the only piece of unlicensed Galaxy Express 999 left! It’s called Glass Claire and it is a 15 minute short film based on a character originally introduced in episode 3 of the TV show.
Today we present it to you, fully subtitled, in glorious 1080p.
I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed subtitling it.

Hey thank you so much! I love every little bit of GE999. Is this really all that’s left unlicensed from the series? I’ve never been able to find those TV specials in English, I assumed they were unlicensed as well. Anyway great job and thanks again for this great release.
Actually you are correct. In addition to the Glass Claire theatrical featurette, the three TV specials are the the only other Galaxy Express 999 video material that is currently unlicensed in the US.
I actually have a script for TV special #2: The Pirate Queen Emeraldas that I’ve been tinkering around with for the past few years but I keep putting it on the back burner. Maybe Tofusensei and I should do it as a joint project?
That would be amazing. I have to think a lot of fans would be psyched for that, I know I would be 🙂

If the japanese wiki page for the anime and google translate are to be believed there actually seams to have been a fourth tv special, aired in 1982 about Tstsuro’s journeys thus far. Also AniDB seems to have another mini special made for Kogashima prefecture from 2009.

Any chance you guys could do the special that was done on 9/9/09, I don’t think that has been licensed.
