Inappropriate drama happened.  For some it’s still happening.  Time will tell if the drama queens will be able to pull extract their craniums from their own rectums in time to save this project.  Apologies to those who are waiting.

I’ve just made a startling discovery this morning. I’ve not really investigated the World Masterpiece Theatre Series much beyond knowing 3,000 Leages is part of it. HOWEVER I’ve just found out this morning that there is an anime based upon the The Trapp Family Story which was the inspiration for The Sound Of Music.

I’ve just ordered volume 1 off Yesasia now. I’m sure all of you knew and loved The Sound of Music when you were little. I’m making a call for translators here. If any Japanese to English translators would be interesting in translating this for Live-eviL I will provide DVD’s and typeset and encode.

Hi guys. I am proud to say that I helped out in the making of a video for the International Film Channel on the history of fansubbing. It goes from the early days all the way to the modern bit torrent model.

Anyway, it’s definitely worth watching either as a history lesson or a trip down memory lane. IFC.com is tracking the number of hits so if it get watched a lot they will commission more episodes! Please watch it and tell your friends!

Anyway, to watch the video is a little tricky. Please follow these instructions:

Go to ifc.com (if, for some reason, you have trouble getting into that, try ifc.com/news), click on “UNCUT ON DEMAND” at the top of the page. When the viewer pops up, click “pause” to stop the exceptionally loud promo, make sure it is on “all videos” then click “SERIES,” and then “SAMURAI 7.” The two episodes for “ANIME in the USA” are at the top of the menu. My starring role is in “Tapes from the Underground,” but be sure to check out “Eisenstein-Sensei” as well.
